4 years ago, on April 23, 2011, I released an album called Defiant Heart that explored themes inspired by 20th century Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich. Recently I was inspired to revisit this album from the bottom up.

I've refreshed the entire album with completely new orchestrations. It was a wonderful experience to revisit music with fresh ears and new techniques. I brought the lessons I've learned over the last 4 years in to this album.

I find it to be a completely different experience than the 2011 release. The louds are louder, and the softs are softer. Every second of every track has been completely reworked, tweaked, optimized and polished. I hope you enjoy it.
